St. Bernards Adds Two in Jonesboro (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Michelle Schofield has joined the medical staff at St. Bernards Healthcare in Jonesboro as a psychiatrist. A graduate of Howard University in Washington, she earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed a residency in adult psychiatry at Emory University in Atlanta. She sees patients at St. Bernards Behavioral Health and at the St. Bernards Counseling Center.

Dr. Melissa Yawn has joined St. Bernards First Care Clinics and is seeing patients at the new First Care-Hilltop facility at 3637B E. Johnson Ave. in Jonesboro. Yawn is a graduate of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and completed a family practice residency at the University of Tennessee St. Francis Hospital in Memphis.


Billy Henry is the new director of clinic management services for Conway Regional Health System. A graduate of the University of Central Arkansas, Henry is filling a vacant position as part of a five-year management agreement established between CHI St. Vincent and Conway Regional in August 2015. He previously served as practice manager for three CHI St. Vincent Family Practice Clinics in Conway and Morrilton.


Bob Sarkar has been hired to the new position of president of the Arkansas Health Network, a clinically integrated network created in 2012 by CHI St. Vincent of Little Rock. Sarkar was previously senior vice president of operations/value-based care for Premier Health in Dayton, Ohio, and the regional VP and chief strategy officer for Presence Health in Chicago.


Dave Hawsey has been hired as vice president of marketing by Delta Dental of Arkansas in Sherwood. He was previously marketing director for Anthem Inc. and before that worked for Colonial Life & Accidental Insurance Co. and First Citizens Bank & Trust in South Carolina.


Sara Menefee and Hal Norman have been promoted by Arkansas Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Little Rock.

Menefee has been named manager of direct marketing. She joined the insurance company in 2010 as a group marketing representative and in 2011 was promoted to supervisor of Arkansas Blue Cross’ first health insurance store, ArkansasBlue, in west Little Rock.

Norman, who joined the ABCBS system development and project management team 35 years ago, has been named vice president of customer accounts and membership for all lines of business.
