Update: Startup Junkie Foundation To Host First NWA Startup Week Sept. 14-18

2 min read

The Startup Junkie Foundation announced Wednesday that a first-ever NWA Startup Week will replace this year’s annual Northwest Arkansas Startup Crawl, an in-person event that won’t be held because of COVID-19.

NWA Startup Week from Sept. 14-18 will feature five nights of virtual, televised events and local food and drink pairings that highlight startups, small businesses, restaurants and breweries throughout the region.

Each night, local startups will be showcased on Fayetteville Public Television and YouTube in short video clips. Founders and their teams will tell the story of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur in northwest Arkansas.

The clips will be followed by special programming and accompanied by local food and drink offerings for ticket holders that vary each night.

“Startup Crawl is all about bringing the northwest Arkansas community together and rallying around all the incredible entrepreneurs that make our region special,” Caleb Talley, the foundation’s director of marketing and events, said in a news release. “The pandemic may prevent us from having a Startup Crawl, but it won’t keep us from celebrating entrepreneurs and small business owners, especially after so many have been hit so hard.”

Tickets for individual days are $20 each; tickets for the entire week are $75. They include the featured food and drinks, but a ticket is not required to view the televised or YouTube programming.

Day tickets are available now at the following links: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday tickets are not available yet but can be purchased later through George’s Majestic Lounge.
