2 min read

Startup Junkie announced Monday that it has renewed its partnership with the city of Fayetteville through a newly signed two-year contract, beginning in January and ending in December of 2026.

Under the new agreement, Startup Junkie will continue to provide programming, entrepreneurial resources and co-working spaces for local entrepreneurs free of charge to Fayetteville residents. The resources are aimed at bolstering the city’s entrepreneurial ecosystem while supporting the Department of Economic Vitality.

The agreement outlines that Startup Junkie will receive $62,500 per quarter throughout the two-year contract period. Total payments will not exceed $500,000. Startup Junkie is required to track, log and report hours and expenses directly related to the contract along with invoice for payment for each month.

The payment is a $25,000 rise per quarter from the 2022–2024 terms, where the contract totaled $37,500 per quarter and $300,000 total.

Per the agreement, Fayetteville entrepreneurs will have free access to Centerspace, a collaborative work area in downtown Fayetteville. Startup Junkie will also deliver a schedule of events an one-on-one consulting services, as well as work closely with the Fayetteville Public Library’s Center for Innovation.

The renewed contract extends a partnership that began in 2016, and the new terms include a focus on underserved entrepreneurs and Fayetteville’s arts community.

Claudia Scott, who leads inclusive entrepreneurship programming and the NWA Kiva Hub at Startup Junkie, will work on initiatives aimed at supporting traditionally underserved entrepreneurs and creatives in Fayetteville.

“I’m excited to help spearhead such an impactful part of this initiative with the city of Fayetteville,” Scott said in a press release. “At Startup Junkie, we are committed to serving underserved entrepreneurs and creating intentional programming that fosters access for all. By lowering barriers to entry and increasing access to vital resources, we aim to empower individuals who might not otherwise have the opportunity to pursue their entrepreneurial dreams.”
