Stephens Announces Next Film of Capitalism Series

1 min read

Stephens Inc. of Little Rock announced Wednesday the continuation of its “This is Capitalism” film series with the premiere of “The Future of Capitalism,” which can be viewed here.

The film explores the free-market system through the perspectives of economist Glenn Hubbard, dean of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Business; John Hope Bryant, founder, chairman and CEO of Operation HOPE Inc., a nonprofit aimed at teaching financial literacy and economics; and Seema Hingorani, the founder and chairman of SevenStep Capital and a senior advisor at Crestview Partners.

Hubbard served as the deputy assistant secretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury from 1991 to 1993 and as President George W. Bush’s chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors.

Bryant’s work includes a four-year term on the U.S. Community Development Advisory Board under President George W. Bush. More recently, he was on President Obama’s Advisory Council for Financial Capability.

Hingorani is the founder of Girls Who Invest, a nonprofit committed to increasing the number of women in portfolio and asset management. She is also the former chief investment officer of the City of New York Retirement Systems.

Following this latest installment, “This is Capitalism” will release additional films featuring Bernie Marcus, co-founder of Home Depot; Eddie Brown, founder and president of Brown Capital Management; Josie Natori, CEO and founder of the Natori Company; and more.

Stephens Inc. launched the series in May, and CEO Warren Stephens spoke to Rotarians about it last week.
