Little Rock-based Stephens has announced a multi-year partnership with Formula One racing team Williams Racing beginning with the 2023 season.
Under the deal, the Stephens logo will be featured on the England-based racing team’s FW45 race cars, as well as driver race suits.
The agreement comes as Stephens looks to expand its presence in Europe. The company has offices in London and Frankfurt, and it recently purchased a 20% stake in boutique financial services firm CRUX Asset Management of London.
Stephens’ focus in Europe has primarily been in business services, consumer, financial services, healthcare, industrials, and transport services and infrastructure industry sectors.
Miles Stephens, a Stephens principal, said the deal with Williams Racing is a “strategic fit for our overall marketing plans, particularly with increasing our exposure and building the Stephens brand in Europe.” He said the Formula One audience is a “key target” for the firm.
Williams Racing is one of the most successful teams in Formula One history with 16 championships since it was founded in 1977. The company was sold to U.S.-based private investment firm Dorilton Capital in 2020.
Formula One’s season begins in March.
