Steve Quattlebaum
Steve Quattlebaum of Little Rock-based Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC has been sworn in as president of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Quattlebaum has been a member of the invitation-only association since 1995. He previously chaired the group’s COVID-19 Task Force and served multiple times as co-chair of the group’s National Trial College, which aims to help young trial lawyers develop their courtroom skills. He has also served two terms as the association’s national secretary.
The invitation-only association has about 7,300 experienced trial lawyers and judges as members. Their focus is preserving and promoting the Seventh Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which guarantees the right to civil jury trials.
The Dallas-based group’s primary goal is to educate the American public about the history and value of the right to trial by jury.
“Steve understands that no matter how successful you are, no matter how many trials you win, your professional life will not be fulfilled if you do not devote some measure of your energy and time to improving the legal profession,” Gordon Rather Jr., a past president of the group, said in a news release.
Quattlebaum practices in the areas of products liability, toxic tort, and business litigation.
He’s a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, American College of Trial Lawyers, Litigation Counsel of America, and the Arkansas Bar Association.
He’s a graduate of Western Colorado University and the University of Arkansas School of Law.
