Background: Khairi is professionally licensed in four states and he holds two master’s degrees, one a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and the other a Master of Business Administration from Oregon State University in Corvallis.
Experience: Employed with North Little Rock engineering firm Garver LLC since 1992, Khairi has been a bridge team leader and structural engineer on several notable projects, including the Big Dam Bridge on the Arkansas River and the Great River Bridge over the Mississippi River.
Recognition: The Arkansas Society of Professional Engineers presents the Engineer of the Year Award to an Arkansas engineer who has made outstanding contributions to the engineering profession, the public welfare and humankind. Khairi will go on to compete for the award nationally. "It was a great honor to receive this award," he said.
