Chris Roberts is Southern Bank’s new community bank president in Searcy.
Background: Chris Roberts received a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Central Arkansas in 1990 and a graduate degree in banking from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1998.
Experience: Roberts comes to Southern Bank, based in Poplar Bluff, Mo., from a position as Cabot city president for Metropolitan National Bank. He has more than 20 years of banking experience.
New Position: Southern Bank has 18 locations in Arkansas and Missouri. In his new position, Roberts will help the company expand its footprint in the Arkansas market. "Southern Bank is committed to the Searcy community and Chris will help us make a positive impact in the community," said Southern Bank President and CEO Greg Steffens.
