Dr. Mark McCoy has joined Mercy Clinic Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery in Fort Smith as a cardiovascular surgeon.
Most recently, McCoy practiced with the St. Francis Medical Group in Monroe, Louisiana, but has also practiced at Mercy Northwest Arkansas in Rogers, Cooper Clinic in Fort Smith and Western Arkansas Heart, Lung & Vascular Surgical Associates in Fort Smith.
McCoy earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville College of Medicine.
Dr. Kelli Rippy has joined Mercy Clinic Family Medicine-Ozark as a family practice physician. Rippy previously worked at River Valley Primary Care Services in Mulberry (Crawford County), but has practiced in Ozark in the past. She earned her medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock.
Koree Ramsey has been hired as a physician assistant at the Gastroenterology Center at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith.
Ramsey earned a master’s degree in physician assistant studies from Harding University in December.
Joseph E. Steinmetz, chancellor of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, has replaced Donnie Smith, the former CEO of Tyson Foods, as the Northwest Arkansas Council’s presiding co-chair.
