Survey Says NWA Apartment Occupancy Improved at Year-End

What’s the occupancy rate in Benton and Washington counties these days?

95.2 percent, according to a market survey by CBRE Group Inc. of Los Angeles.

That compares to 92.2 percent in mid-2011.

CBRE, touted as the largest commercial real estate services firm using revenue as the measuring stick, surveyed 20,588 units out of an estimated 28,000 units in northwest Arkansas.

CBRE’s big-picture observation?

"From the results of this most recent survey, it appears that the lack of new supply, added to slow economic recovery, has the multi-housing market on the road to recovery."
