This article is part of a series on Arkansas’ fastest-growing private companies based on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list. The list ranks companies based on three years of annual revenue growth. The other Arkansas companies featured in this series are Servato, Nuqleous and Telex.
Arkansas’ fastest-growing private company Team Go Ventures is also a leader in social commerce.
With a 6,271% growth rate, Team Go comes in at No. 43 on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list, which sets it as No. 1 in Arkansas. The company also appeared as the No. 1 social commerce agency, TikTok agency and retail agency for 2024.
Founder and CEO Oliver Bogner describes Team Go as a “clicks to bricks” agency, focusing on all things social commerce. Click-to-brick marketing blends online and offline shopping, where retailers use digital marketing to drive in-store traffic and brick-and-mortar sales.
Headquartered in Bentonville, Bogner said Walmart business was a huge part of the company’s original growth, but that it has “really taken a step forward” in recent years. The company focuses on social commerce through TikTok Shop, YouTube Shopping, Meta and Pinterest.
“Social media has our mind share, it has our attention span, and now it has our wallet share,” Bogner said in an interview with Arkansas Business. “It’s been influencing what we bought for a long time, but really only in the last few years has there actually been a way to convert to purchases using social media.”
The company employs “an army of media buyers,” a content production team, an affiliate market team, a live shopping team that produces thousands of hours of live shopping a month and a community-building team, Bogner said.
“It’s much more than just pretty images and media dollars,” Bogner said. “We’re very focused on the actual outcome of the content driving into some sort of sale.”
Bogner said the company’s more than 6,000% growth is partly due to being at the forefront of a new industry. Statista reports indicate that social commerce will nearly double over the next five years, exceeding $141 billion. In 2023, the social commerce market in the United States generated an estimated $75.6 billion in revenue.
“We’re excited that we’ve definitely been pioneering what has become a big opportunity with social commerce,” Bogner said.
The company has large clients like Walmart, Target, Costco, CVS, Walgreens, Dollar General and Ulta, as well as a slew of other retailers, grocery stores and brands across all sectors. And though specific revenue was not disclosed, companies on the Inc. 5000 list must have generated a minimum of $100,000 in revenue in 2020 and a minimum of $2 million in revenue in 2023.
Team Go has been featured on the Inc. list twice; it was No. 113 in 2023. In 2024, Team Go was No. 6 overall in advertising and marketing. And though the feature is nice, Bogner said Team Go will continue to “put our heads down and continue to get to work for our clients.”
Team Go Ventures announced Sept. 9 that it has been acquired by Market Performance Group (MPG) of Princeton Junction, New Jersey and is now Go Digital. Though terms of the deal were not disclosed, Bogner will join MPG as the head of social commerce. Bogner also said in a video on MPG’s website that Team Go’s 82 full-time employees, as well as its 200 contractors and content creators will “all be jumping on board” at MPG.
As a subsidiary of MPG, Go Digital will not qualify for the upcoming 2025 Inc. 5000 list.
As far as growth, Bogner said the sector is only in the “first inning,” and that “this is a wave that every consumer product business needs to be jumping on, and needs to be moving fast on, because this is Amazon 20 years ago.”
Eighteen Arkansas companies appeared on the 2024 Inc. 5000 list. The companies saw 215% median growth, 4,287 jobs added and 11 repeat companies.
