Little Rock digital marketing firm Team SI has added Alex Hood as its new chief technology officer and announced an expansion of services to include custom-built analytics.
Hood, formerly a senior developer with the firm, becomes the company’s first CTO, and will be joined by five new staff members devoted to technology.
“We’re fortunate to have talented individuals like Alex working in Arkansas,” CEO Tim Whitley said in a press release. “Team SI is committed to developing and maintaining talent here at home when many could easily find success in tech hubs such as Silicon Valley or Austin, Texas. Many companies are going to those places when they are looking to hire personnel.”
Whitley said Hood will be responsible for driving an expansion of services as the agency seeks further growth. Earlier this year, Team SI was named to the 2015 Inc. 500 list of the country’s fastest growing businesses. Plus, it was named a Google All-Star, competing against 14,000 agencies worldwide for one of 200 spots.
Whitley was named to Arkansas Business’ 40 Under 40 list for 2015, and Wes Hymer, vice president of the firm’s automotive division, was named to AB’s 20 in their 20s list. Whitley was also the subject of an Arkansas Business Executive Q&A in September.
Whitley said the firm now serves 190 clients in 32 states with notable local clients including the Department of Arkansas Heritage, CHI St. Vincent, Hank’s Furniture, Steve Landers Auto Group and UALR.
