The Buttered Biscuit Sets Opening Date for First Little Rock Location

2 min read

Bentonville-based breakfast chain The Buttered Biscuit announced that it will open its first Little Rock location at the Promenade at Chenal on May 29.

Founded in 2017, The Buttered Biscuit is known for its scratch-made biscuits, sausage gravy, homemade jams, house-made butters, and an array of gluten-free options. It has four locations in northwest Arkansas.

Sam Russell, CEO and co-founder with his wife Anna, told Arkansas Business last month that the Chenal restaurant is about 3,500 SF and includes a “beautiful patio,” which is another 900 SF. The restaurant at 17815 Chenal Pkwy suite F101 will seat about 110 inside and another 60 outside.

“We’re so excited to share our passion for food and hospitality with west Little Rock soon,” Anna Russell said in a news release. “This store’s design and atmosphere is one of a kind, and we can’t wait to see the community begin filling up its tables in just a few weeks.”

The Buttered Biscuit will be open seven days a week for breakfast, brunch and lunch from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

The Buttered Biscuit plans open its second Little Rock location in the Heights neighborhood later this year. The Heights location will be about 3,500 SF and will feature a unique 500-SF indoor patio.

Sam Russell told Arkansas Business that the amount invested in the two Little Rock restaurants is almost three times what The Buttered Biscuit has invested in previous buildouts. The stores will serve as prototypes for future growth.
