The Heights Lands Milk & Honey

1 min read

Milk & Honey, a gift boutique, opened in the Heights neighborhood of Little Rock in March, just in time for summer weddings and baby showers, and is "overflowing with lots of good things," said owners Regina and Lyn Fruchey.

The Frucheys also own Frederica Pharmacy and Frederica Collection on the first floor of the Regions Bank building in downtown Little Rock. They were looking to expand into another area of the city when the 1,500-SF space at 5916 R St. next to WordsWorth Books & Co. became available for rent.

The venture incurred about $70,000 in startup costs and was financed through the Bank of Little Rock, Lyn Fruchey said.

Milk & Honey does monogramming and sells gifts galore, including Bridgewater Candles, Arthur Court decorative metalware, jewelry by Ethel & Myrtle, Rashti & Rashti infant clothing, Buckhead Betties bags, custom-made Milk & Honey soap and much more.

Every gift that leaves Milk & Honey is wrapped in a box with a hand-tied bow, Lyn Fruchey said. "Customers will be proud of the gift they are going to give."
Fruchey, a longtime entrepreneur, said that opening a business is a different experience every time. However, one piece of advice always remains relevant: "Take care of the folks that walk in the door because they are the only reason you exist."

Milk & Honey is open 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday. For more information, call (501) 664-3200.
