Industrial services firm The Systems Group of El Dorado announced the $1.04 million purchase of an 8,400-SF facility in Jonesboro to support industrial growth in northeast Arkansas.
The building at 2200 E. Matthews Ave. will serve as headquarters for the company’s clean air division. In a news release, The Systems Group said it expects the facility’s workforce to grow from an initial staff of six to more than 20. It will house design engineers, sales personnel, service technicians and parts inventory.
The division specializes in air filtration and dust collection systems for industrial applications, serving steel mills, metalworking facilities and manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S. The division’s flagship technology, the Self-Maintaining Air Cleaner (SMAC) system, provides an alternative to traditional dust collection methods.
“We’re incredibly excited to establish a stronger presence in Jonesboro,” Lee Morgan, CEO of The Systems Group, said in the release. “Northeast Arkansas is experiencing unprecedented industrial growth, particularly in the steel sector, and this facility positions us to better serve our customers throughout the region. We couldn’t be in a better spot right now.”
The Jonesboro facility will also house operations for Fowl Play, a custom apparel company.
Halsey Real Estate broker Landon Wilson led the transaction.
