It’s back!
Last night, Arkansas Business news partner Today’s THV aired an exclusive look inside the newly reopened Yarnell Ice Cream Co. plant in Searcy, which is now three weeks into production on a new batch of Yarnell’s ice cream.
The ice cream is set to hit stores sometime this spring. Schulze & Burch Biscuit Co. of Chicago, which now owns Yarnell’s, is planning a news conference Thursday to announce more details about the relaunch.
Schulze & Birch purchased Yarnell’s last year after it closed and declared bankruptcy. Only 16 employees – all fomer workers – are currently churning out the 300,000 cartons used to relaunch and expand the Yarnell’s brand, but a larger staff is planned for the future.
