THVideo: Police Search England Field for John Glasgow

1 min read

The Little Rock Police Department is searching a field in Lonoke County, investigating a claim by convicted felon Jon Brawner that he helped bury the body of missing construction executive John Glasgow.

Arkansas Business news partner Today’s THV is on the scene Thursday as investigators prepare the area for search using sonar-type equipment.

According to Today’s THV, police and surveyors from Arkansas Archeology are at a field off Old Dirt Road in England, Ark.

According to Brawner’s attorney, Brawner told Little Rock police detectives that acquaintances to whom he owed money had pressed him into helping bury Glasgow’s body in a bean field near England in Lonoke County.

During the summer growing season, police searched a small portion of the field but planned to return once the field had been harvested.

Brawner has told his lawyer and investigators the names of the people he allegedly helped to bury Glasgow on the day he was last seen leaving his Little Rock home, Jan. 28, 2008.

In a cover story this week, Arkansas Business explored Brawner’s claims and his role in the attempted kidnapping of Conway businessman Jim Daven. The failed plot took place 18 months after Glasgow disappeared.

No one that Arkansas Business has talked to – not Shaw, not Daven, not Glasgow’s brother Roger – knows of any connection between Brawner and John Glasgow.

Below, Today’s THV Lauren Scott reports from search site during Today’s THV’s evening newscasts.
