Todd Simmons, CEO of Simmons Foods in Siloam Springs, was installed Thursday as the chairman of the National Chicken Council.
Simmons was installed at the group’s annual Conference in Washington. His term will run through 2016.
Simmons is a third-generation leader of Simmons Foods, and was promoted to CEO in 2012. He began working at Simmons in 1990 and joined the management team in 1994 following graduation from Georgetown University. Previously, he served as COO of both the poultry and pet food divisions of the company.
Last year, Simmons was named “Industry Leader of the Year” by The Poultry Federation.
