
Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corp., the wholesale power provider for the state’s 17 local electric cooperative, announced that Tom Wright has been promoted to vice president of power delivery.
Wright, who has more than 30 years in the electric utility industry, joined AECC in 2021 as the director of transmission engineering and construction. In his new role, he is responsible for the planning, operations, maintenance and construction of AECC’s transmission, substation and switching station assets.
Wright holds a bachelor’s in electrical engineering from the University of Arkansas and a master’s degree in engineering management from the University of New Orleans.
He’s a member of the Transmission Sector Council for Electric Power Research Institute, a member of the Arkansas Academy of Electrical Engineers and the founder of the national Substation Best Practices Forum.
