Today’s Bank of Huntsville announced the appointment of Troy Blackston Jr. as executive vice president and chief lending officer.
He joins the community lender from First Western Bank of Boonevillle, where he worked for more than a decade as a senior vice president and chief credit officer and managed a loan portfolio totaling more than $525 million.
Previous roles include vice president and commercial loan officer at Legacy National Bank, and consumer loan manager and commercial loan officer at Arvest Bank.
In his new role, Blackston will oversee banking operations and manage the bank’s lending program and portfolio.
“Troy brings an immense amount of expertise in bank management, lending and leadership,” David Scruggs, president and CEO od Today’s Bank, said in a news release. “Not only is Troy highly skilled, but he understands people, making him a huge asset to our already talented team as we work to exceed expectations.”
Blackston hodls a degree in organizational management from John Brown University.
