Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale has named Adam Deckinger as its general counsel and secretary.
Deckinger will take over the roles previously held by Amy Tu, who was promoted to president of the company’s International division in September. Deckinger has been with Tyson Foods since 2018, most recently as its head of law and compliance.
“Adam is a proven leader and true partner to the business who has helped the company navigate through some of the most significant issues and risks we’ve faced in recent years, and I am confident that he will help to build our future as OneTyson,” Tyson Foods CEO Donnie King said.
Deckinger has more than 15 years of experience, including time in global litigation with Boeing Co. He held judicial clerkships in the United State Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals in Florida.
At Tyson Foods, he oversaw the company’s litigation, regulatory enforcement and compliance. He also served as legal counsel for the division presidents and oversaw the company’s mergers and acquisitions.
