John Calipari, the new head basketball coach at the University of Arkansas, paid $2.2 million for a home in the Clear Creek subdivision in Fayetteville.

Calipari joined the UA in April after 15 seasons at Kentucky, where he won the 2012 NCAA Championship and reached the Final Four four times. He has a five-year deal worth $35 million.

The home, on Jean Lane, is 7,350 SF and overlooks Blessings Golf Course. It has five bedrooms, five-and-a-half bathrooms, an exercise room and an office, as well as other amenities.

The seller was T&B White Family Trust, led by Taylor Robert White and Kathleen Brooks Gallagher White. They acquired the property for $1.23 million in 2023.

It might not be a surprise that Calipari ended up in Clear Creek, the gated community around John Tyson’s golf course. Tyson, chairman of the board at Tyson Foods Inc. of Springdale, is a close friend of Calipari’s and was instrumental in his hiring.
