UA Little Rock, Arkansas State Receive $112K Innovation Grants

The U.S. Economic Development Administration awarded $2.5 million in grants to 20 colleges and universities in 13 states, including the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Arkansas State University, through its 2018 University Center Economic Development Program Competition.

The two schools were awarded $112,850 each for programs that promote American innovation and strengthen regional economies.

Announced in May, this year’s competition was open to higher education institutions and consortia of accredited institutions in states supported by EDA’s Austin and Denver regional offices.
