
The Fay W. Boozman College of Public Health at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences has appointed new members to its advisory board.
The board members are:

Leon Catlett, president and CEO of MSI Lodging Systems. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.
- State Rep. Vivian Flowers, D-Pine Bluff, who is serving her third term and earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and technical writing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and a master’s degree from the Clinton School of Public Service.
- Beverly Foster, who has practiced chiropractic medicine in Little Rock for over 25 years and earned undergraduate degrees from the University of Missouri at Columbia and the Sorbonne, Paris. She was a graduate assistant at the UA and received her doctorate in chiropractic medicine from Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa, and certification in orthopedics from Parker University in Dallas.
- Beverly Foti, chief regulatory officer for Youth Home Inc., who has over 30 years of behavioral health experience. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. Foti also received a doctorate in public health from the Fay W. Boozman College.
- Bess Heisler Ginty, president and CEO of Kids for the Future. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the UA and a master’s degree from George Mason University.
- Dr. Drew Kumpuris, who has practiced clinical cardiology in Little Rock for more than 40 years. He received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine and is a health care policy fellow with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
- Jerry Martin, who serves as the Arkansas water team leader for Garver. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and water resource engineering from the UA.
- Paige Newman, who graduated in May with a Master of Public Health degree from the Fay W. Boozman College and plans to pursue a doctorate in health analytics.
- Alan Perlman, who serves as the business development director for consumer products and retailer services at NSF International. He has 40 years of experience in the consumer products industry and earned a bachelor’s degree in food science from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
- Marilyn Porter, a UA graduate who established the statewide Local Divisions for the Arkansas Community Foundation in 1994 to match a Walton Family Challenge. She has served on the Board of the Arkansas Arts Center for two terms and received a presidential appointment from President Bill Clinton to the United States Access Board. In 2010, she worked with the UA to design, fund and build the North Gate entrance to Old Main for the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity Centennial Gift. She is also a Central Arkansas Library Systems Board member.
- James W. Wallis, retired president of EXOK Inc.. He earned a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering and a juris doctorate from the University of Tulsa.
