UAMS Hires 2 New Oncologists (Movers & Shakers)

Dr. Manojna Konda and Dr. Vivek Yadala have been hired as oncologists at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences of Little Rock. Konda is a graduate of the UAMS College of Medicine, where she completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology-oncology. Konda received her medical degree at Gandhi Medical College in Telangana, India. She is board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. Yadala is also triple board-certified in internal medicine, hematology and medical oncology. He joined UAMS after completing a fellowship in hematology-oncology at UAMS and Marshall University School of Medicine in Huntington, West Virginia, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine. Yadala completed medical school at the University Shri B. M. Patil Medical College in Bijapur, India.


Holly Trotta (GastroArkansas)

Holly Trotta has been hired as an advanced practice registered nurse at GastroArkansas of Little Rock. 


Elizabeth Tlapek Tubeville (Franks Dermatology)

Elizabeth “Liz” Tlapek Turbeville has been hired at Franks Dermatology of Little Rock as a physician assistant. She has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies with Honors from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. Prior to joining Franks Dermatology, was a physician assistant in orthopedic surgery, and she has experience as a dental assistant, home health aide and patient care assistant for a plastic surgeon.


Gabby Vidal-Torreira (Hendrix College)

Garbiñe “Gabby” Vidal-Torreira has been appointed faculty director of the Hendrix Women’s Leadership Community at Hendrix College of Conway. She will continue to serve as associate professor of Spanish at the college.


Matthew Blaylock, president of Blaylock Heating & Air in Fort Smith, has joined the board of Baptist Health Foundation of Little Rock. Also named to the board are Cara Butler, an associate attorney in the Little Rock office of Mitchell Williams Selig Gates & Woodyard; Jimmy Hammock of Little Rock, who spent 29 years with Meritor Inc.; Tonya Hooks of Little Rock, senior investigator with the Arkansas Crime Victims Reparations Board; Kelly Imhoff, marketing director at Harrison Energy Partners in Little Rock; and Elizabeth Machen, executive vice president and director of marketing and communications at Simmons Bank in Little Rock.
