
Dr. Charlotte Hobbs has been named executive associate dean for clinical and translational research at the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock, and Richard P. Morrison has been named executive associate dean for research.
Hobbs was previously executive associate dean for research. Morrison will step down as chair of the Department of Microbiology & Immunology in the College of Medicine at the end of August to focus on his new position.
Dr. Robbie Hurtt, a urologist, has joined the medical staff at Conway Regional Health System and is in practice at Arkansas Urology. Jacob Walton-Conner, a certified athletic trainer, has also joined Conway Regional and is currently providing athletic training services at the Conway School District.
Dr. Luis Quiel, an internal medicine physician at White River Medical Center in Batesville since 2015, has been inducted as a fellow of the American College of Physicians, which recognizes achievements in internal medicine.
Tara Almand, assistant professor of nursing at Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, was named to the Arkansas Action Coalition’s list of 40 Nurse Leaders Under 40, which honors emerging nursing leaders in Arkansas who are younger than 40 years old.
Dr. Matthew Field has joined the staff of Arkansas Veterinary Emergency & Specialists of Little Rock. He earned his degree in veterinary medicine at Iowa State University. He recently completed a residency in small animal surgery at Memphis Veterinary Specialists.
Ashlie Hilbun has been named vice president of philanthropy for Arkansas Children’s Foundation in Little Rock as part of a reorganization of fundraising responsibility. She previously held leadership roles in the University of Arkansas’ Advancement Division and in New Orleans disaster recovery organizations that responded to Hurricane Katrina.
