Drew Higgenbothom has been elected president of the Independent Insurance Agents of Arkansas of North Little Rock. He currently serves as vice president of Smith & Co. Insurance of Forrest City.
Michelle Anderson has been selected as dean of students at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College of North Little Rock. The position is responsible for departments and activities related to student life, engagement and wellness.
Tim Carter has been named interim dean at the College of Education & Health at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. He has been with ATU since 1998.
Ana Hunt has been selected as provost at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College. She has been with UA-Pulaski Tech since 2019, where she has served as interim chancellor and interim provost.
John Jackson has been appointed interim dean of the Arkansas Tech University College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics. He has been with ATU since 2003.
John Kirk, professor of history at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, has been awarded the Gingles Award by the Arkansas Historical Association of Fayetteville. The award honors authors with the best manuscript article of any Arkansas history topic. Kirk investigated the criminal case of two African-American Arkansans who were executed for the alleged rape of a white woman in the 1930s.
John Lewis has been appointed vice chancellor of enrollment management and student life at the University of Arkansas-Pulaski Technical College. He has been the dean of admissions and financial aid at the university since 2018.
Michelle Wiles has been named vice chancellor of the Division of People & Culture at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She had been interim vice chancellor since February.
Ann Clements and Adrienne Jones have been promoted at the Arkansas Humanities Council of Little Rock. Clements will serve as director of education. Jones will serve as associate director.
