UCA Division of Advancement Announces New Leadership (Movers & Shakers)

The Division of Advancement at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway has announced new leadership. Jennifer Boyett has been hired as director of campaign communications. She previously was executive director of the United Way of Central Arkansas. Additionally, Mollie Henager has been promoted to senior director of foundation relations and development. She previously served two years as a director of development and foundation relations. Joan Shofner has been promoted to associate vice president for campaign and development. She recently served as associate vice president of campaign and legacy planning. Jim Smith has been hired as senior director of development of the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences. He has more than 20 years of experience in fundraising. Greg Weber has been promoted to assistant vice president of legacy planning. He previously served two years as the senior director of development for the university’s College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences.

Cheryl Shaw (UAHT)

Cheryl Shaw has been hired as vice chancellor for finance and administration at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana. She previously was a CPA at Thomas & Thomas CPAs PLLC.


Chris Wagoner
Chris Wagoner (Black River Technical College)

Chris Wagoner has been hired as adult education instructor at Black River Technical College of Pocahontas. He previously was an instructor and football coach for the Hoxie School District.


Jared Bassham
Jared Bassham (Black River Technical College)

Jared Bassham has been appointed to Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ Human Trafficking Task Force. He is the law enforcement training academy director of Black River Technical College of Pocahontas.
