Rev. Bruce Bennett of Texarkana and seven others have been elected to the board of directors of the United Methodist Foundation of Arkansas.
The other new directors are the following:
- Dr. Debra H. Fiser, Little Rock
- Rev. Jim Polk, Little Rock
- Steve Shults, Little Rock
- Pam Harris of North Little Rock
- Rev. Phil Hathcock of Maumelle
- Rev. Lynn Kilbourne of Conway
- Dewitt Smith of Bella Vista.
The foundation manages $131 million in endowment funds and other charitable assets that benefit local churches and other United Methodist ministries in the state.
Annett Pagan retired this month as director of U.S. programs for Winrock International of Little Rock. Pagan joined Winrock in 1992.
The former mayor of Strong (Union County), Pagan served on the first Arkansas Rural Development Commission and is a member of the Arkansas Executives Forum, Arkansas Women’s Forum, the Arkansas Environmental Federation, Arkansas Forestry Association and the Arkansas chapter of the Community Development Society. She chaired the Arkansas Alternative Fuels Commission from 2005-07 and was a member of former Gov. Mike Beebe’s Global Warming Commission.
