US Ranks No. 1 in Health Care Spending Per Capita

In 2021, the United States spent an estimated $12,318 per person on health care, the highest health care costs per capita among countries in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation &
Development.

Germany ranked second-highest, spending about $7,383 in health care costs per capita. The average for wealthy OECD countries, excluding the United States, was only $5,829 per person.
