Venture Center Names Mimi San Pedro Chief Strategy Officer

The Venture Center in Little Rock has hired Mimi San Pedro as its chief strategy officer.

With more than 30 years of experience in information, technology and strategic marketing, she will help galvanize the nonprofit’s growth by driving key initiatives that serve the entrepreneurial and corporate innovation sectors, according to a news release.

San Pedro most recently served as chief marketing officer for NLC Products, a national catalog and e-commerce company. She was responsible for the development of NLC’s digital evolution and led the company’s digital marketing strategic plan.

Before that, she held senior leadership roles in marketing, strategy, corporate development and operations at Hortus, Acxiom Corp. and ContourMed.

“Mimi is an exceptional talent, and I am grateful for the opportunity to welcome her to the team,” Venture Center Executive Director Wayne Miller said in a release. “She has extensive experience with identifying robust and sustainable growth strategies for global and local organizations.

“Mimi’s innovative thinking and ability to translate complex strategies into actions will help us shape the future of entrepreneurial support in Arkansas, and ensure the success of the Venture Center’s alumni companies, corporate partners and community stakeholders.”

San Pedro said in the release, “I’m thrilled to be joining the Venture Center during such an exciting time of growth. As we expand our reach through corporate innovation through dynamic content and programming, I look forward to driving the strategic planning process at the VC to support the mission and vision our stakeholders in achieving their goals.”
