Wal-Mart on Neighborhood Watch After Land Buys in Cabot

The world’s largest retailer is developing a new project in Cabot after four buys totaling $1.38 million.

Wal-Mart Real Estate Business Trust of Bentonville acquired about 5.1 acres for a neighborhood market store at the northeast corner of Pine Street (Highway 89) and Campground Road.

The location was home to four residential properties sold by Robert and Elizabeth Bird, $555,000; Thomas and Elaine Mayberry, $355,000; the namesake joint revocable trust of Grover and Eliza Boyd, $245,000; and Norma Westenhaver, $225,000.
