Walmart Health Hits 50-Clinic Milestone With Texas Expansion

1 min read

Walmart Health announced that it reached 50 locations in the U.S. this month with the addition of three clinics in Texas.

The 5,400-SF clinics, located beside Walmart Supercenters in Sugar Land, Tomball and Pearland, are the first of 18 new locations planned in Texas this year. Walmart Health previously had four locations in the state.

“We are excited to deepen Walmart Health’s presence in Texas beginning in April in Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth,” Dr. David Carmouche, senior vice president of health care delivery at Walmart, said in a statement. “With the population of Texas continuing to grow, these Walmart Health centers will help address the demand for easy to access care for all seniors and their families.”

Walmart Health clinics offer a range of services including same-day primary care, primary care, dental, behavioral health, labs, x-ray, community health and telehealth. The clinics in Texas will offer value-based care for certain senior populations.

Walmart Health launched in 2019, offering access to affordable care seven days a week. In addition to Texas, Walmart Health has locations in Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois and Missouri.
