Sustainable outdoor apparel startup LIVSN Designs of Bentonville announced that it has raised a round of seed capital led by RZC Investments, a Bentonville investment firm deploying capital on behalf of Steuart Walton and Tom Walton.
In a news release, LIVSN said the investment will support team expansion, further product-line diversification and distribution scale-up.
Other investors in the round include Cadron Capital Partners of Fayetteville.
The amount raised was not disclosed.
LIVSN was founded in 2018 by Andrew Gibbs-Dabney. Products include its Ecotrek Pants, crafted from recycled nylon sourced from recovered fishing buoys. The company has five full-time employees and has raised over $1 million on Kickstarter. It offers its apparel for men and women at 80 retailers.
“RZC has been my ideal partner since the day I started LIVSN,” Gibbs-Dabney said in the release. “Their track record of building world-class products combined with their focus on outdoor recreation makes the RZC team a perfect ally to accelerate LIVSN’s mission.”
Don Huffner, vice president at RZC, and outdoor industry veteran Phil Graves join the company’s board of directors.
“Our investment decision was heavily influenced by LIVSN’s fastidious dedication to product excellence, its impressive track record, and its commitment to sustainable practices,” Huffner said. “We’ve admired Andrew’s vision for years and are excited to support LIVSN in leading the outdoor apparel category with versatile, durable products.”
