KTHV-TV, Channel 11, has added a second new meteorologist in two months, announcing that Mississippi native Adam Bowles will be joining Little Rock’s CBS affiliate next month.
Bowles, who is joining the station from WGNO in New Orleans, will be joining “Wake Up Central,” the morning show that KTHV plans to kick off later this month. The on-air team includes anchors Laura Monteverdi, Amanda Jaeger and Rob Evans.
“Adam is passionate about weather and storytelling, and he’ll be a great addition to ‘Wake Up Central,'” KTHV News Director Dave Parker said. “We look forward to welcoming him to the THV11 family.”
Parker said Bowles’ work on camera will begin next month. A graduate of Mississippi State University, Bowles worked in Bakersfield, California, before heading to New Orleans. He sings and is a certified scuba diver, according to a Channel 11 news release.
Former KTHV meteorologist Sarah Fortner returned to the station early last month after spending several years in North and South Carolina, replacing Mariel Ruiz.
Ruiz left Little Rock for a job at KVUE, the ABC affiliate in Austin, capital of her home state of Texas.
