Zenwork of Fayetteville and Dallas, a leading provider of digital tax compliance and regulatory reporting software for businesses, has named William McNamara its chief financial officer.

McNamara’s appointment is the first of several additional executive positions the company, which operates under the Tax1099 and Compliancely brands, said it will be filling in the Dallas area over the next several months.

Zenwork said, along with a recent $163 million investment, the new CFO will enable it to further expand and grow its service offering beyond the 150,000 customers it has today.

Supporting Founder and CEO Sanjeev Singh, in a news release, called McNamara a “strategic finance executive with a successful track record of leading finance organizations” who has honed his leadership skills at fast-growing technology companies.

He has nearly 30 years of experience in the technology and services industries. Most recently, McNamara served as the CFO of Theatro, a provider of communication services for frontline retail employees.

Prior to that, he held executive roles at Ziosk, which provides a table ordering tablet for casual dining restaurants. He was CFO and chief operating officer there, and president of Ziosk Financial Services. McNamara also has more than 15 years of experience in sales finance and operations at German multinational software company SAP, human resource management systems company PeopleSoft and Kraft Foods.

“I’m thrilled to be joining at a time when compliance and risk have become crucial for business growth and survival. Zenwork’s offering provides the foundation for businesses of all sizes to succeed in this fast-changing business landscape,” McNamarra said in the release.
