Remember that historic home in Fayetteville that recently sold? Well, the couple that bought the Willis Noll House last month sold another historic home in Fayetteville.
David and Justine Rose paid $750,000 in 2017 for the 4,144-SF Dr. James Patrick House on North Williams Drive. The house, built in 1965 for a Fayetteville physician, was designed in the midcentury modern style by famed architect Ernie Jacks, a member of the first graduating class of the University of Arkansas’ architecture school in 1950 and one of Dr. Patrick’s patients.
The Roses sold the Patrick House, which was built into a rock shelf, for $1.15 million last month to Alex G. Miller, through Miller’s 370 N WMS Fayetteville LLC.
The Roses then purchased the Willis Noll House on North Sequoyah Drive for slightly less than $1.3 million. It was designed in 1949 by Edward Durell Stone, and Jacks had worked for Stone.
Jacks also helped design the University of Arkansas Medical Center in Little Rock and was a professor and associate dean at UA before his death in 2020.
Both homes are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The two homes are a few blocks from each other on the hillside of Mount Sequoyah.
