Windstream Holdings Inc. of Little Rock said Wednesday that it has acquired Business Only Broadband of Chicago, a fixed wireless enterprise services provider with operations in Chicago, New York City, northern New Jersey and Milwaukee.
The company offers high-bandwidth, enterprise-class Ethernet and networking services, Windstream (NYSE: WIN) said in a news release.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“The acquisition of Business Only Broadband further differentiates Windstream as an innovative enterprise services provider,” Jeff Gardner, Windstream’s president and CEO, said. “The ability to offer our business customers the diversity and reliability of a fixed wireless service offering, in addition to our already deep portfolio of fiber and cloud-based services, reinforces our commitment to offering smart solutions and personalized service.”
Windstream said it plans to expand the Business Only Broadband network into additional markets beginning next year.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
