1 min read

Communications Sales & Leasing Inc. of Little Rock — Windstream Holdings Inc.’s planned real estate investment trust spinoff — on Thursday announced two executive leadership appointments.

Daniel Heard had been named general counsel of CS&L and Rob Clancy has been appointed assistant treasurer and vice president of investor relations.

Kenny Gunderman, CS&L’s president and CEO, said in a statement that he was “very excited to have Daniel and Rob join our growing team at CS&L.”

“Daniel and Rob have extensive experience in the capital markets and complex transactions, and they will provide invaluable leadership as we execute on our strategy to grow the company,” Gunderman said.

Heard, a partner at Kutak Rock LLP, has represented telecommunications and information technology companies at the firm in corporate, securities and merger and acquisition transactions, Windstream said in a news release. His appointment is effective April 1.

Clancy was previously senior vice president of finance at Cbeyond, a telecommunications company headquartered in Atlanta that was acquired by Birch Communications of Atlanta last year. At Cbeyond, Clancy was in charge of treasury, investor relations and financial planning, Windstream said.

Clancy also previously worked at Windstream after the company spun off from Alltel, where he was vice president of investor relations.
