Mark Day has retired as executive vice president of finance at Koontz Electric Co. Inc. in Morrilton.
Day had been with the company for 20 years, since he came from what was then the Arkansas Industrial Development Commission (now the Arkansas Economic Development Commission) and took over financial aspects of the company in 2000.
The retirement has made room for the promotion of Matthew Zimmerman to vice president of finance.
Zimmerman, whose previous position was office manager, has been with the company for 15 years.
Koontz has also hired Mark Hoelzeman as business manager. Hoelzeman was previously an administrator at Morrilton Medical Clinic for 21 years.
Sean McCarron has been hired as senior safety manager at CTEH in North Little Rock. McCarron was hired to meet the growing demand for the company’s readiness, response and recovery services, particularly during COVID-19. He has 16 years of health and safety experience in manufacturing, electric utility and oil and gas industries and is a certified safety professional.
