Professional “aha” moment
“I left a good employer for a small company in pursuit of money. I was not happy with my personal decision as the environment was toxic and high stress, and the employer wanted me to cut corners to meet objectives. I knew patient care would be jeopardized if not done right. This taught me to never leave somewhere solely for additional pay, to be very selective in my interviews, and to ask lots of questions to make sure I was joining the right team that is aligned with my values.”
