ATG USA

ATG USA
Category IV (151-499 Employees)
North Little Rock

With a company culture of “growth, resilience, intentionality and togetherness,” ATG USA really does have grit.

Founded in 1994 as a small computer services company in North Little Rock, ATG continues to rapidly grow, with an average annual growth rate of 30% in the past three years and more than $10 million in sales for the past two years.

The company is a leading national partner in software, hardware, services and support for the architecture, engineering and construction industries, specifically selling and supporting computer-aided design (CAD) software.

Since President and General Counsel Ben Hollowell joined the company in 2007, he’s seen it grow “tremendously.” In 2017, the company acquired CADSoft Consulting of Phoenix and in 2018 it acquired CTC software of Minneapolis.

“That really started the acceleration process,” Hollowell said. And the acceleration has continued: Throughout the pandemic, ATG nearly doubled its employee headcount, which now numbers 177, and it opened a new headquarters in the heart of North Little Rock’s Argenta district in December 2022.

ATG is clearly meeting the “growth” pillar of the company, but Hollowell said it has put a big emphasis on company culture to meet its goals of resilience, intentionality and togetherness.

“We needed to get some steerage and a commitment to culture,” Hollowell said. Although ATG had to navigate finding talent that fit its culture and drive during its accelerated growth, Hollowell is proud of the team the company has now. “We work better together and have to be intentional as we continue this growth mode.”

Hollowell said it may not be the shiniest company, but that the technology ATG is delivering is becoming increasingly important.

“Our customers do so many different things. From the roads you drive on to the building you’re sitting in, it’s all designed in this software,” Hollowell said. “It’s a great space to be in. Even though you might not know about us, we’re doing some exciting stuff with a great team of people.”
