Ericka Gutierrez said she’s like a matchmaker at Pediatrics Plus in Conway. As the applied behavior analyst recruiter, Gutierrez finds the “best therapists for our kiddos” and connects them, she said.
In March 2019, she joined the health care service provider, which offers occupational, physical and speech therapy, as a recruiter for the new field of applied behavior analyst. Board-certified behavior analysts provide services to children with autism.
“I had the opportunity to come in and learn all things ABA and develop a recruitment process,” she said.
Pediatrics Plus has nine locations and will open two locations next year in Conway and Bryant.
Gutierrez graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a management degree and an MBA in 2018.
Growing up, Gutierrez wanted to work with others in a business-related field. “I really thrive connecting with people, learning about other people and finding ways to help them,” said Gutierrez, who was born in Mexico and grew up in Greenbrier.
She is a member of the 2021 class of the Conway Area Leadership Institute. She also is an adviser and member of the establishing committee for UCA’s first Latina sorority.
“I want to be able to serve others and share my experience and … to continue paving the way for others,” she said.
