Administrative Specialist III Minority Research Center


The Administrative Specialist III will work under the direct supervision of the Director for the Center and will help set up the infrastructure for the center to include attending meetings, ordering supplies, furniture and equipment for the Center. Additionally, the Administrative Specialist III will compose and/or generate correspondence, perform various word processing tasks, operate various office machines, update center’s website, serve as receptionist prepare various reports, purchase requisitions and establish and maintain extensive files; type and edit various document; take and transcribe minutes; prepare employment paperwork; track progress on orders and payments; assist with program evaluations; make travel arrangements for faculty and staff; provide assistance to students, staff and faculty as appropriate and needed; and performs other duties as assigned or required.

Minimum Qualifications: The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma plus one year of specialized training in the secretarial field, plus three years’ experience as a secretary. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

Salary: Grade C112 – ADHE Pay Classification
