Project/Program Manager University Relations and Development


REPORTS TO: Director of University Relations & Development

Summary: The Project/Program Manager will be responsible for spearheading & managing activities to build the donor database including phon-a-thons. This person will also be responsible for designing/developing strategies and activities that will identify potential donors.

Qualifications: A baccalaureate degree is required in areas of marketing/communication, public administration, business, or English. Must have strong communication skills, and computer/software (Microsoft) proficiency a must. Other job related education and/or experience may possibly be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements.

Develop and implement strategies for building a strong database.
Assist with various aspects of fundraising appeals and public relations events
Maintain lists and files in support of computerized database
Assist with developing and implementing strategies and procedures for various fundraising appeals
Maintain database/VIP files on recent graduates of UAPB
Draft letters/correspondences
Perform limited clerical and secretarial duties
Enter, maintain, and track data in online/computerized databases
Identify and resolve problems in online/computerized databases
Develop and implement reporting, monitoring and maintenance procedures for specific lists/databases
Plan, organize, and implement phases and procedures for increasing input in databases associated with specific appeals
Assist with developing, maintaining, monitoring, analyzing, reconciling, retrieving, and coordinating lists/records in online/computerized database
Coordinate related activities within and outside Development Office
Keep abreast of latest software in use in Development Office
May supervise part-time workers and supervise on-going assignments
Perform related responsibilities as required or assigned.

Working Relationship
College/institution personnel, and, general public.

Excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional knowledge of computer and Microsoft suite. Ability to understand and apply foundation, institution, state, and federal laws pertinent to contributions. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the work of others.
