POSITION: Assistant Professor, Human Sciences (Human Development and Family Studies) Full-time, 12-month tenure track position (70% teaching, 30% research). Position Available: July 1, 2019.
QUALIFICATIONS: Earned doctorate in human development and family studies or related area. Competence in subject matter as evidenced by relevant course work, research, computer skills, college/university teaching experience, and on-line teaching experience preferred.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Teach courses in human development and family studies including child development, parenting education, administration and supervision of child care centers; supervise internship students; advise students; serve on departmental and university committees; provide service to the community and in the profession. Conduct research and other scholarly activities related to departmental goals; disseminate and present research results to diverse audiences, prepare grant proposal for outside funding.

THE DEPARTMENT: The Department of Human Sciences is in the School of Agriculture, Fisheries and Human Sciences. The Department offers a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Sciences Education and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Sciences with options in Foodservice/Restaurant Management; Human Development and Family Studies; Merchandising, Textiles and Design; and Nutrition and Food Science. Programs are accredited by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.
