ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST II - Career Services

Description:

The Administrative Specialist II works under the direct supervision of the director. The Administrative Specialist II is responsible for researching and preparing special reports, examining and verifying documents, and performing general office duties. Composes and types routine correspondence; maintains high quality communication with internal and external customers; establishes and maintains files on all students registered with the office and employers that recruit on campus; assists in developing or revising agency/institution policies and procedures; complies financial information used to formulate budget proposals; monitors expenditures, attendance and time record; assist students, employers and staff with use of Handshake Career Portal; Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
The formal education equivalent of a high school diploma; plus two years of experience in a specialized or related area applicable to work performed.

Skills and Abilities:
The most desired candidate must have outstanding oral and written communications skills, interpersonal/human relations skills; Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; knowledge of computers and expertise in software applications; ability to operate standard office equipment; knowledge of record keeping procedures; ability to conduct research and compile data into report form.
