Visual Storyteller


Lyon College seeks a dynamic individual to serve as Visual Storyteller. As part of the marketing and communications team, the Visual Storyteller is a photographer, videographer, editor, and producer all rolled into one with expert technical skills and as comfortable at an editing workstation as behind a camera. The Visual Storyteller will capture engaging visuals that will help tell the Lyon story and effectively market the college and its programs to prospective students, alumni, and donors.
Successful applicants will have professional experience in photography, video production, or graphic design and a bachelor’s degree in photography, video production, graphic design, art, media production, communications, journalism, or a related field is required in addition to experience working with editorial teams. Additionally, experience with DSLR cameras, audio equipment, lighting, digital photography editing applications, and video editing tools is required.
Lyon College is a private, selective liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). It is located in Batesville, Arkansas, a safe and historic town of 10,000 that serves as commercial, medical, social, and governmental hub for an eight-county area. The College currently enrolls almost 700 undergraduate students from 24 states and 15 foreign countries. Entering freshmen have an average high school GPA of 3.5 and an average ACT composite of 24 and SAT score of 1117.
