Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations


Lyon College is seeking applications for a Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. The candidate is responsible for planning and executing the College's fundraising program to secure philanthropic support from corporations and foundations. The Director oversees the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate and foundation donors, and initiates, strengthens and manages strategic relationships with these philanthropic partners. This includes developing strategies that match institutional needs with corporate and foundation interests, establishing and maintaining donor relationships, preparing and submitting proposals that advance the institution's academic plan and priorities. The Director designs and executes a strategic corporate and foundation relations plan that reflects best practices.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree and at least two years of proven experience in grant writing and experience with non-profit fundraising. Candidates must communicate well in writing and speech, collaborate well with others, maintain confidentiality, and effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines. The successful candidate will work both independently and with a team of professionals. Some night and weekend hours as well as some travel are required.

Entering freshmen have an average high school GPA of 3.5 and an average ACT composite of 24 and SAT score of 1117.
