Assistant/Associate Professor - Biology


The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff is a state supported Historically Black College/University with an enrollment of approximately 2,600 students. The University has academic degree programs at the baccalaureate, masters and doctoral levels.

The Department of Biology at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) invites applications for a nine-month tenure-track assistant/associate professor position (Ph.D. required) commencing in the 2019-2020 academic year. A strong commitment and experience to excellence in undergraduate teaching, advising/mentoring students, committee work and work with the UAPB STEM Scholars Academy is required. The individual will be expected to establish a competitive research program involving undergraduate students.

A biologist with the expertise to teach courses in general biology, bioinformatics, biostatistics, and physiology is desired. A Ph.D. or equivalent in biological sciences or a related area is required.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position will begin in August 2019.
